After I realized that, I was embarrassed yet again for missing my chance to debut it. All of my steam and excitement for costuming was washed away. Because of great and crazy friends, that excitement was rekindled in 2013. However, this costume was relegated to... party costume. I wore it to Halloween parties only due to missing my chance to debut it in its full glory. It was a comfy costume since it was just a shirt, pants, sash, and sneakers. The tail was attached to a belt, and the ears were held on by a hair band.
After multiple costumes later, I decided to shake the dust of Holo and wear her in her truest form. But to do that... I had to cut the wig in half. You can't see it in the picture, but this was a cheap wig that had tons of hair on the top of the head and nothing everywhere else. In order to correct this, I cut it in half, turned the excess hair into wefts, and sew them back in. The result looked amazing~

The transplant was time consuming, but easy. I was able to finish in a night, which was mostly due to the fact that I didn't want the cat to do something to the loose hair!
Once finished, my friend and I promised to do a photo shoot together with our first 100% completed costumes! Her first costume was from Journey.
Overall, it was an amazing experience. I know that it was not the best costume, but I thought it was a great first attempt! If I was to do it again... I would have braided the sash like I was supposed to. XD And get contacts.
My friend was running around because she had tons of fun flapping.
